Who are the Long Run Lunatics?

Come out and join us for one of our long runs and you will soon find out! What you will most likely find are a bunch of really great people who enjoy hanging out for a couple of hours on Saturday mornings by running the streets (and trails) of Columbia, Missouri. We enjoy the social aspects of group running as we discuss life, family, work, food and sometimes we even talk about running.

What makes us Lunatics is that we are continually pushing ourselves to become better runners and are not afraid of running distances that scare most people away. Our weekly long runs can be broken down into three varieties: short (10-14 miles), medium (15-17 miles) and long (18-22 miles). While we typically stick to a comfortable pace (8:15-9:30), the Lunatic President has been known to incorporate some speedwork into the long runs when he is training for a marathon (the nerve!)
